800 Miles Isn't Too Far

Her name is Angie. She is clever, creative, quick to laugh, and always there when I need her. She is my best friend.

You know when you meet someone, and after one real conversation, you realize you were destined your whole lives to become friends? That's how it was with Angie.
We met one fateful day in a Spanish class* at college - and bonded over group projects and resenting our professor and evenings sitting around the rock climbing wall working on assignments.

We had the same bookmarks on our computers, read the same books, loved creating things, and came from extremely similar families (our dads were both pastors - a truly crazy experience). We even laughed in similar fashion - sneaking snorts in on accident.

We had the luxury of living less than 2 miles away from each other for over 2 years.
We were spoiled.
Because now she lives over 800 miles from me.

We started our little blogs in August, as a way to keep in touch with each other. And though it hasn't made the separation easier, it sure has been fun. (Check out Angie's side of the story here.)

We'll be doing some little projects and and joint adventures together over the next few months and sharing them here (not as epic as the 3191 project, but it's sure to be a good time). Won't you come along for the ride??

*really really fateful - Matt and I were just beginning to be friends, and Matt had just met Josh. Josh had just gotten engaged to Angie. And we were all in the same college class. And then, over 3 years later I fall in love with and marry Matt. But that's another story :)
